Laurel flew into Australia last week for a whirlwind consecutive 3 dates short tour culminating with the Sydney show at Mary’s Underground on Saturday night.
Mary’s Underground provides a really unique up-close and intimate personal experience with no stage barriers between artists and patrons. A daunting prospect with a sold out packed to the rafters show.
Laurel has an incredible vocal range and soared through tracks from “Dog Violet” and “Palpitations” much to the crowd’s delight.
A minimal simple stage set with just a drum kit (Laurel’s brother) and Laurel on guitar allowed her vocals to really steal the show.
New songs were also met with rapturous applause.
Laurel is another fine accomplished English singer that will only grow in stature as she releases more material.
Expect a bigger venue next time. She is a super talent!
